Dear Ms Barr,
“Sheffield People’s Petition”
We have now completed validation of the “Sheffield People’s Petition” that the It’s Our City group submitted on 24 August 2019.
The outcome of this process is that 21,815 registered electors validly signed the petition and that, as a result, the petition is valid.
Therefore, a referendum will be held not later than the end of the next ordinary day of election, which is Thursday 7 May 2020.
